Our Story

Techiman Area Small Holder Farmers and Micro Entrepreneurs Cooperative Society Limited (TASFAM) is a social enterprise dedicated to fighting poverty and hunger from the grassroots. Since 2016, we have supported smallholder farmers, youth, and women entrepreneurs with training, access to finance, market linkages, and business support.


TASFAM is a demand-led and recipient-owned local partnership as well as a cost-effective and flexible micro financing mechanism dedicated to fighting hunger, malnutrition, and poverty in Ghana. In line with Sustainable Development Goal 1 and 2, TASFAM supports resilient and sustainable agriculture that benefits and empowers poor and vulnerable smallholder farmers, particularly women, youth and Micro-Entrepreneurs. TASFAM pools development assistance resources and uses a common framework to selectively allocate them to where they are most needed, most effective, and most catalytic in line with community priorities and private sector opportunities.


Small Holder Farmers and Micro Entrepreneurs have been the backbone of the Ghana Socio-economic development. TASFAM over the years provided technical and financial assistance to these Small Holder Farmers and Micro Entrepreneurs and individuals to expand their Business. Established in 2016, TASFAM has provided Trainings and microfinance schemes to start-ups and small businesses with fast, easy and accessibility of funds to grow and expand their businesses.

Our Key Supporting areas

  • General Access to Finance: TASFAM provides the generality of the community to access to finance by designing products and services appropriate to their needs through the Village Savings and Loans Associations and other Schemes.
  • Highest Women Empowerment: TASFAM service leads to women's empowerment by positively influencing women's decision-making power and enhancing their overall socio-economic status through trainings in alternative livelihood ventures.
  • Youth Support through Micro-Entrepreneurship: TASFAM supports the Youth through job creation and entrepreneurship at the earlier stage of the larger population.
  • Agro-based Industry Support: TASFAM supports Agro-based industries by making provision of inputs to farmers. It is the best remedy to complement the on-farm and the off-farm income of smallholder farmers to enhance food production and by extension, their livelihood.
